Message from Jim Baber, President of the Board
The foundation began in 2006 with a group of close friends who wanted to commemorate the loss of their dear friend, Tad, who lost his life through a tragic car accident at the young age of 19. Board and associate board members share the common mission of giving back to the community in Tad’s name.
In our first five years of operating, we’ve been fortunate enough to have achieved incremental growth in the total value of gifts made in the Foundation’s name. Last year alone, we were responsible for seeing that net proceeds totaling more than $72,000 went to ASK, a local non-profit which provides financial, spiritual, social and emotional support directly to over 1,000 children with cancer and their families annually.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved in a relatively short amount of time, and we couldn’t have done it without all of our friends and supporters. We hope you’ll consider supporting the Foundation’s efforts either through volunteering, making a gift, attending our annual fundraising event – “Making a Difference in May” – or spreading the word about the Foundation.
